Hamilton de Tannach is quite unique. In fact, he’s his sire Mylord Carthago in miniature – and the only pony son of one of today’s great stallions who was ridden during his competition career by French international showjumping rider Pénélope Leprévost.
Standing at just 136 cms, Hamilton de Tannach is indeed a very special specimen, as he is the only pony offspring of Mylord Carthago, a horse who competed at the highest international level with Pénélope Leprévost and is considered one of the most important stallions on the current sport horse breeding landscape.
Hamilton is just nine years old and, as can be seen in the photo, bears a strong resemblance to his sire. For the past year he has been in Asturias (Spain), achieving good results in pony showjumping competitions
Born in France and bred by Valerie Stehlin, “Hamilton de Tannach is registered with the Association Française de Poney et Cob Welsh (AFPCW). His dam is Linotte Ragignan, who excelled in Category B pony showjumping competitions before moving on to a broodmare career, during which she was always covered by Warmblood stallions such as Cassini II, Cook du Midour, Nid D’Amour de Buissy, and the aforementioned Mylord Carthago...
