For the first time, in conjunction with the HORSE24 Special Auction, the Westfälisches Pferdeseammbuch supported the breeding station Stockem in the south of Germany in reducing its stock. A total of 30 horses with highly interesting, mostly jumping pedigrees were for sale in this online auction, and all the riding horses, youngsters, broodmares and foals on offer found new owners. The riding horses and the broodmares in foal were especially popular.

The most expensive offer was the under-saddle three-year-old daughter of Diamant de Semilly x Lancer III, Dudu, who changed hands at the knockdown price €9,750. Austria will be the future home of the Quickthago VDL x Lupicor son Qui, who sold for €9,000.

Among the foals, the Arezzo VDL x Quick Star daughter Arielle proved popular, and she changed hands for €7,750 Euros, and her dam, Quaiti, was one of the most sought-after broodmares. The Quick Star x Lancer III daughter celebrated international showjumping wins, and her new owners invested €8,000. She is in foal again for 2022 to Arezzo VDL.

Overall, the auction achieved a turnover of €193,250 – an average of €6,442. According to sales manager Thomas Münch, "I am very pleased that this pilot project worked so well. As a breeding association, it is not only our task to sell the most expensive horses, but to support our breeders in marketing their horses. A sales quota of 100 per cent speaks for itself."
