The horse show ‘Verden International’ is the perfect setting for Hanover’s best futurity prospects to determine their riding horse, dressage horse and showjumper champions. The stars of tomorrow regularly celebrate their first successes on the premises of the Hannoveraner Verband.
Diamond Lady by Dimaggio x Benetton Dream (bred by Axel Windeler, Verden-Walle), perfectly presented by David Taylor, was nominated Hanoverian champion of four-year-old mares and geldings. They finished just one-tenth of a point ahead of Dschamilja by Dancier x Lauries Crusador xx (bred by Rudolf Hagen, Großefehn) and Sascha Böhnke who were rewarded with the silver medal. Third place went to two horses: the Fürstenball x Rotspon son Fürst Flulidu (breeder: Iris-Maria Berger, Stuttgart), thanks to his rider Sophie Duprée’s masterly performance, and Little Hollywood by Livaldon x Wertschatz (breeder: Dr. Joachim Adams, Lingen) with rider Saskia Sophia Kunz.

The four-year-old stallions were of stunning quality and the Celle state stud stallion Labbadio by Lissaro x Dancier (bred by Jan Heimsoth, Wahnebergen) convincingly won the competition. The eagerly moving brown stallion, born less than five kilometres away from the Rider’s Stadium, was presented by Mike Habermann. Premium stallion Quattroporte by Quantensprung x Stedinger (breeder: Burkhard Wahler, Medingen) under the saddle of Jose Pedro Baptista finished second. Two stallions finished equal third: Vidar by Viscount x Edward (breeder: Wolfgang Meyer, Spenge) and Catja Thomsen and Falihandro by Fürstenball x Dancier (breeder: Madonna Hedberg, Queensland/Australia) with rider Janine Drissen.

Feingefühl by Fürstenball x Farewell III (breeder: Gaby Heye-Hammerlage, Belm) in the hands of Sandra Kötter dominated the division of three-year-old mares and geldings. The Hanoverian premium candidate loves Verden. She was already nominated reserve champion at the previous week’s Herwart von der Decken Show. Sarafina by San Amour x Christ (breeder: Walter P. J. Droege, Düsseldorf), and presented by Claudia Rüscher, followed at a distance. Third was Vlow by Vivaldi x For Compliment (breeder: Johannes zur Lage, Bersenbrück) with Anja Mohrahrend zur Lage...
