The Christmas Dressage Festival in Exloo unfortunately had an early finish on December 18 when the Dutch government imposed a new Covid lockdown starting the following day, and running to January 14. Therefore, no Freestyle Finals took place.
Patrick Vermeer won the Grand Prix twice on Friday and Saturday achieving above 72% partnering the 11-year-old chestnut mare Sephora S (Sir Donnerhall x Fürst Piccolo breeder Wilhelm Schwierking). He complimented both his mare and the organizers, who gave him the possibility to practice all alone his Freestyle on Sunday before leaving for home.
Peter Spahn and 11-year-old approved Friesian stallion Elias 494 (Jorn 40 x Maiko 373, breeder Demro Stables) was the runner up in Grand Prix. “He is a gift. I share any intense moment to show him,” Spahn said.
