Dressage horses opened the Holstein Horse Days event in Elmshorn in mid June at the Herbert-Blöcker-Platz with national championship qualifiers, state championships, and sport up to advanced level.
On the opening day, three- and four-year-old riding horses had the opportunity to present themselves for the Warendorf annual highlight in September, with three horses being nominated for the national championships. They were the three-year-old Impressively (Escolar x Connor” Peter Böge, Schönhorst), from stamm 4705, piloted to victory (7.8) by Markus von Holdt.
In addition, another three-year-old, Ocara (Chezarro x Quo Vados I: ZG Schacht, Kollmar), representing stamm 3401. This mare was presented by Julian Döbberthin and took second place with 7.7. In the four-year-old division, there was a ‘repeat offender’: Nikita S (Zackery x Damon: ZG Sudeck, Uetersen), stamm 776, who won her test (7.9) and was nominated for the national championships per last year. Roland Metzler was in the saddle once again.
Elfensymphonie dances to the title
The new state champion of five-year-old dressage horses is Elfensymphonie, who was skilfully ridden by Markus von Holdt. The dark chestnut mare by Vitalis x Fürstenball was bred by Caroline van Zele and claimed a well-deserved victory. Oldenburg-registered, Elfensymphonie won an L-class dressage horse test with a score of 7.92.
My Romanciera by Fürst Romancier x Aljano: ZG Ellerbrock), stamm 990, finished second with a score of 7.84 under the saddle of Christina Ellendt. This same mare was the dressage winner of the association mare show in Elmshorn in 2022. MarcAnthony EA (Maracaná x Donnerhall: Elisabeth C. Ahn-Ballies, Grebin) and Swantje Peters secured bronze in the championship for five-year-olds with a score of 7.8.
Bundle of energy Quibbel J wins 6yo title
“He is the most ambitious horse I have in my stable,” says rider Jonas Juhl after his victory in the state championship for six-year-old dressage horses, having completed an M-class test (7.92). The Quantensprung x Casall son was bred and is owned by Dr. Eva-Maria Junkelmann, who was delighted with her Holsteiner’s success: “He has a lot of energy, which he was able to put to good use today.”
Cadeau (Clarksville x Lorentin I: Birgit Jörgensen, Denmark), stamm 8909, won silver with Anna Metzler (7.66), while Bentley JG (Bon Coeur x Hofrat) and Joana Graf, who bred the gelding herself, took bronze with a score of 7.44. .. To read the complete article you need to be a subscriber
