As of this morning, there have been 221,926 confirmed cases of coronavirus worldwide, with 8,999 deaths (around 4%), and a reported 85,791 people who have already recovered. While the number of cases continues to rise, fatalities are maintaining a similar percentage. Obviously, this pandemic and the lock-down status of many countries has resulted in the cancellation of numerous events on the equestrian calendar. Of most interest to breeders is that, so far, the transportation system is being allowed to continue in the majority of countries, but any interruption to this service will obviously impact the delivery of chilled and frozen semen. Breeding News will endeavour to keep you up-to-date with this and other news as it unfolds.

Stay safe, everyone
