Traditionally, in mid-June, the National Youth Championship of the Małopolska (PZHK m) Horse Breed took place at the state studfarm of Arabian Horses in Białka. The championship is one of the oldest exhibition and breeding events in Poland and was held June 14/15 for the 28th time.

A total of 72 horses were entered in the catalogue, of which 64 were presented for evaluation before the judges’ committee in six classes. The most numerous were the classes for yearling fillies (17) and colts (16), each of which was divided into two subgroups for efficient evaluation, including horses born around a similar date.

Yearling fillies

First place among yearling fillies with a score of 75.01 points was taken by Pita AA (Karamba AA - Pasieka m (AA) x Huzar m (AA)) bred and owned by Janów Podlaski State Stud Farm. The filly stood out in the conformation assessment (31.55 points) and very good movement in the corridor, especially in the trot, assessed at 43.46 points.
Second and third place were taken by daughters of the stallion Akwen AA, respectively: second place with a score of 73.85 points was Aparycja AA (Akwen AA - Amira m x Jurand m) bred and owned by Aleksander Łój; and third place with a score of 72.13 points – Daddy Queen AA (Akwen AA - Dakota m x Huzar m (AA)) bred and owned by Piotr Denkiewicz.

Yearling colts

In the class for yearling colts, first place belonged to Devotional AA (Caccini xx - Dolina m x Tabex m) bred and owned by Michał Marta. Despite minor conformation flaws in the corridor, the colt showed very good movement ,assessed with a predominance of eights in the trot at 45.02 points, for a total score of 74.57 points.
Second place in this class with a score of 73.27 points was taken by Artemis AA (Akwen AA - Aspirantka m x Zoon m) bred and owned by Jerzy Szala, while third place, rarely seen at championships, the leopard-spotted Bluecrop m (Agat m - Borówka m x Emanor m) bred and owned by Joanna Ceglinska. Bluecrop m won the class at the regional show in Wierzawice in May this year. This time, despite the high score for conformation, he performed somewhat worse in the corridor...
