The second edition of the DSP (Deutsches Sportpferde) showjumping foal auction under the title ‘Winterlingen Winners’ confirmed the choice of this marketing platform in the Swabian Alb with a Zirocco Blue daughter fetching the top price.

Once again embedded in the wonderful ambience of the Whitsun tournament at the facility of DSP licensing commissioner Andy Witzemann, sellers and buyers again found ideal conditions. The atmosphere at this hybrid auction was correspondingly positive, with the number of bids received by online and live bidders roughly equal.
The very first offer of the auction evening achieved the top price when auctioneer Hendrik Schulze Rückamp brought down the gavel on the auction block at a bid of €16,000 for a daughter of Zirocco Blue, gold medalist at the 2015 European Championships. The filly, who presented herself in excellent condition, was bred and exhibited by Sjoerd Enzerink in Weissensee, Thuringia. The foal’s dam already produced a successful sport horse in the advanced level. Her granddam is the important broodmare Alaska II by legendary sire Landgraf, whose offspring include a whole series of successful sport horses up to the 1m60 level and licensed stallions.
All of the Winterlingen Winners were of the finest, internationally sought-after genetics. It’s no wonder that renowned stallion breeders were among the buyers, who certainly already have their sights set on the 2028 DSP Stallion Days.
