During the recent stallion show of the Celle State Stud in Verden, State Stud stallion Diacontinus was honoured with the Grande Prize. Bred by Klaus Jürgens who received the award, the stallion is a performance sensation, likewise his offspring.

Diacontinus was born in 2010 at the stable of Klaus Jü̈rgens in Sehnde-Bolzum and already attracted the attention of breeders as a premium stallion at the 2012 licensing. At the stallion sales, the powerfully jumping Diarado x Contendro son moved to the State Stud Celle. One year later, he won the 70-day-test in Adelheidsdorf with outstanding scores, and for which he was awarded the Stakkato Prize.
The first vintage of foals from Diacontinus shone at the stallion licensing with three licensed and one premium stallion. His daughters are in no way inferior. Of the 162 broodmares registered in Hannover, 73 are premium or premium candidates, including the winner of the jumping mares of the Herwart von der Decken Show 2017, Hann.Pr.St. Dinara.
The offspring of this grey stallion are not only characterised by outstanding ability and impeccable scope, but also shine with modern type. So far, more than 90 Diacontinus offspring have been sold at a Verden auction, and at the 2019 Elite Auction, DJ advanced to the celebrated top price among the showjumping horses. Similarly, his first offspring are celebrating successes in advanced level show-jumping. The 340 sport horses registered with the German Equestrian Federation have so far achieved lifetime earnings of €93,386.
Diacontinus himself won the bronze medal at the Hannoveraner Showjumping Championships in 2015 and, with rider Heiko Tietze, has decorated his ranking list with numerous successes up to 1m45. According to his rider, “He is always ready for action and has never been sick.”
For years, Diacontinus has been among the top one percent in the FN breeding value estimation of young horse tests for jumping stallions and is currently in third place with a breeding value of 153. Diacontinus is also in the top 10 percent of the FN breeding value estimation of young horse tests for dressage stallions with a breeding value of 129...
