Two important events will feature Westfalians in August – at opposite ends of the sport horse spectrum, when 170 foals gather during the Westfalian Week auction on August 2/3... At the same time as three Westfalian showjumpers compete with the German team in the Paris 2024 OG.

From foal to top athlete: This is the motto of the Westfalian Studbook these days. The auction highlight of the year is taking place as part of the Westfalian Week in Münster-Handorf at the same time as the Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Here is where the winners of tomorrow will present themselves to a large audience for the very first time.
The sales team of the Westfalian Studbook has selected a total of 170 young talents, with the auction being opened by 60 foals predispositioned for jumping on Friday, August 2. These future stars already shine with pedigrees that promise the best potential in the show jumping arenas of this world.
There will be 110 foals predispositioned for dressage for sale in a two-part auction on Saturday, August 3. They too shine with first-class movement quality and the best pedigrees.
Internationally successful sires paired with exclusive dam lines will present themselves on the auction stage, and bids can be placed both live on-site and online on the day of the auction. The Westfalian Studbook team is looking forward to your visit in Münster-Handorf and will be on hand in person to help you choose the right foal.

Three Westfalians in the German team

Following the Nations’ Cup in Rotterdam, the working group for top-class sport of the Jumping Committee of the German Olympic Committee for Equestrian Sports has named the team and the longlist for Paris.
From August 1-6, 2024, the best showjumpers in the world will compete in Paris, with a total of three rider-horse pairs per nation allowed to compete. For Germany, these are the following:
• Checker (Comme il faut x Come On) Breeder: Wolfgang Kipp; Rider: Christian Kukuk (Riesenbeck)
• United Touch S (Untouched x Lux) Breeder: Julius-Peter Sinnack; Rider: Richard Vogel (Pfungstadt)
• Zineday (Zinedine x Polydor) Breeder: Franz-Georg Ottmann; Rider: Philipp Weishaupt
We are delighted about the nomination of three Westfalian show jumpers and look forward to the beginning of August with great enthusiasm.
