For the 13th time, the Hannoveraner Verband has honoured outstanding young stallions with the best performance test results with the Weltmeyer and Stakkato Prizes. Three of the five award-winning stallions received their prizes in a ceremony in front of a large audience at the 33rd show of privately owned stallions in Verden.

For two years now, Escaneno (Escamillo x Veneno) (Breeder and station: Tobias Schult, Hünxe), has been successfully standing at stud and is highly popular among breeders, and was duly awarded with the Weltmeyer Prize. Last year, the expressive bay, ridden by Jacob Schenk, was named Hannoveraner vice champion of five-year-old dressage horses. Prior to that, he impressed in both parts of his sport test, receiving top scores, particularly for his rideability. His exceptional quality is no coincidence: Escaneno’s granddam is the renowned St.Pr.St. Reine Freude (Ravallo x Frühlingstraum) from the prestigious dam line of Jucking.
Another textbook career is that of Global Hope, a 2020-born Global Player x Fidertanz son (breeder: ZG Werth, Moers; station: Klosterhof Medingen). He is the second Weltmeyer Prize recipient presented in the dressage arena by Jacob Schenk. In 2023, he was celebrated as both the Hannoveraner champion and Bundeschampion of three-year-old riding horses. That year in Warendorf, he received the perfect score of 10.0 for rideability and trot. With this achievement, Global Hope follows in the hoofprints of his half-brother Vogue (Vitalis), who also secured both championship titles and is now based in the yard of Olympic champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl.
