In 2012, François Vorpe attended the NASH Auction, held in Saint Lô in October. He had no other choice because Alain Hinard insisted he should come to check out a three-year-old stallion. At that moment in time, François Vorpe was at Disneyland Paris with his family.

François Vorpe: “I really have to say thank you to Alain because he showed me a video of Vancouver de Lanlore (Toulon - Hispania de Bacon x Le Tot de Semilly, bred by Anne Dafflon) as a two-year-old and he jumped fantastic It was so natural, and this was confirmed by what I saw at the auction. He stood out because he showed so much power and energy. In this he was different to all the other horses. He jumped with so much technique and scope that it was almost too much. But I knew it was natural because I saw the video from when he was two. I also believe you cannot fake strength and scope. I had to buy him because I believed in him. Vancouver de Lanlore jumped like a warrior, he wants to jump over the fence and always with the same attitude. Again this is all thanks to Alain Hinard.”..To read the complete article you need to be a subscriberCLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE TO BREEDING NEWS
