One week after dressage stallions were approved, the showjumping stallions had their big moment at the Hanoverian Society’s stallion licensing. Twenty-nine of the 52 stallions that took part were licensed.
Five representatives of the 2023 crop received the title ‘premium stallion’ for their outstanding quality. The front-runner in the price statistics was the premium stallion by Aganix du Seigneur Z, which was sold for €125,000.
Twenty-six licensed and 21 unlicensed stallions came to the stallion sales. The most sought-after premium stallion was the Aganix du Seigneur Z x Cascavello son (breeder: Rafal Krajewski, Lwowek Wlkp/POL, exhibitor: BG Ralf Ferri and Rafal Krajewski, Winsen). The chestnut stallion, who appears to have unlimited scope and comes from the dam line of Gerco Schröder’s Olympic horse Eurocommerce Monaco, will promote Verden’s licensing and the stallion sales in Belgium for €125,000. The Chacco-Blue x Nabab de Reve son (breeder: Caterina Schulz-Beelitz, Behrensdorf, exhibitor: Hauke Heinrich, Lensahn) will move to world-class hands. Sold two years ago at the tournament foal auction at Hof Rosenbusch, the bay with excellent reflexes was sold for €102,000 to a successful breeding and training stable in Lower Saxony.
Two foals that were part of the 2023 online auction Verden Foal Spring found new owners as premium stallions. A regular customer from the USA did not miss the opportunity to secure the light-footed jumping Diarado x Chacoon Blue son (breeder: Paul Bergen, Wagenfeld, exhibitor: Carola Grotheer, Worpswede) for €95,000. While a high-class showjumping stable from the Czech Republic paid €33,000 for the modern-looking Baloutaire PS x Van Helsing son (breeder: Bernhard and Helmut Jasken, Haren, exhibitor: IB Berger, Sulzbach-Rosenberg) from the successful dam line of Jolante.
