The ranking results are recorded starting on October 1 and ending on September 30 every year. Obviously, with this year’s focus being on the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, available points are greater than usual, so the 2023/2024 end-of-year result will be eagerly awaited.
Currently, in the dressage breeder ranking: Up from 20th position in the 2023 final ranking, P. Kluytmans, Tilburg (NED), comes in at number one with 2,469 points, for breeding the KWPN stallion Everdale (Lord Leatherdale x Negro). Everdale and his rider Charlotte Fry (GBR) most recently won the CDI5* GP Freestyle in Fontainebleau with 82.34%.
With 2,312 points, Verbena Dressage (SWE) takes second place for breeding the SWB gelding Touchdown (Quaterback x Sack). With his rider Patrick Kittel (SWE), the pair won the FEI World Cup Final in Riyadh, KSA last month. J. Lamers (NED), the breeder of KWPN stallion Blue Hors Don Olymbrio (Jazz x Olympic Ferro), currently occupies third place with 2,220 points. Don Olymbrio and Nanna Skodborg Merrald were second in the FEI World Cup Final in Riyadh, KSA.
Among the jumping breeders, Belgian Eric Polfliet finds himself in first place with a huge promotion from ranking 3,939th at the end of last season. He is the breeder of Olga van de Kruishoeve, a BWP mare by El Torro de Muze x Nabab de Reve, ridden by Frenchman Simon Delestre.
Ranked second is Wim Impens (BEL), a previous Longines WBFSH Jumping Breeder of the Year in 2022, for breeding the BWP gelding King Edward (Edward 28 x Feo). He won the FEI World Cup Final in Riyadh, KSA last month with Henrik von Eckermann (SWE). In third position is Solmat Agropecuaria S.A. (ARG), for breeding the Selle Argentina mare RR Combella (Cornet du Lys x Indoctro). With Shane Sweetnam (IRL) they have been successful on the North American circuit this year, with outings in Lexington, Miami Beach, the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, and in Ocala...
