Two stallions – one dressage, one jumping – received the highest Swedish Warmblood breeding merit class in 2023, Elite, which is awarded to sires that meet the criteria for exceptional ability to produce the next generation of sport horses.

Additionally, eight more stallions, six in dressage and two in jumping, received breeding merit class A, awarded to stallions that meet the criteria for favorable ability to produce the next generation of sport horses.

Breeding Merit Class Elite

Awarded to a stallion that meets the requirements for exceptional ability to produce the next generation of sport horses. This means the stallion can significantly advance breeding in at least one discipline from an international perspective. Offspring competing at S-level is a prerequisite. Elite may be awarded posthumously to a stallion. To be awarded Elite, the oldest offspring must be at least seven years old. The benchmark for the breeding value index is at least 130 in jumping index or 125 in dressage index.
Blue Hors Zack 95316 is awarded Elite based on his excellent ability to produce dressage horses. He has produced successful SWB sport horses up to and including S-level international dressage. In total, Blue Hors Zack has 154 SWB-registered offspring, with the first generation born in 2009. Seventy-nine offspring (51%) have been shown at the SWB young horse test, and thirty-four of these (47%) have been awarded premiums. Blue Hors Zack has sired over 80 competing offspring. Izack (SWB) and Bergsjöholms Valbonne (SWB) have successfully competed in Grand Prix dressage, with Bergsjöholms Valbonne (SWB) representing Sweden at the 2023 European Championships in Riesenbeck, and Izack (SWB) being successful in the Swedish Young Riders team for several years.

Zenith, Castanó, and Zanté all have competition achievements in Intermediaire I dressage, and 12 more offspring compete at Prix St Georges/Msv A level. Zapp VS (SWB) was second in the Breeders Trophy as a five-year-old and represented Sweden at the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses (WBCYH) the same year. Allanzo TH (SWB) placed in the Breeders Trophy as both a five- and six-year-old and represented Sweden at the WBCYH in 2023. Blue Hors Zack also has two approved sons: Zaladin MI 1240 and Bergsjöholms Valbonne (SWB) 1376. His breeding index for dressage is 146 based on results up until October 8, 2023...
