Strong AES team for inaugural Global Champions Trophy

Following great performances from talented young AES horses at the WBCYH in Lanaken, which saw Georgia Wells win the Small Final for five year olds with Obolensky’s Dollar Girl (Cristallo x Billy Mexico), a mare bred and owned by Guy Reynolds, the AES is delighted to announce their teams for the Global Champions Trophy.

The Global Champions Trophy is an exciting new WBFSH Studbook Jumping team competition which will taken place from September 28 to October 1 at Jan Tops’ fantastic showground in Valkenswaard.
The team selection has been led by Robbert Ehrens who as chef d'equipe considered the young horses’ training levels, pedigrees, and talent. He was able to draw on a wide range of horses from all over Europe, but in the end it was the UK, the heartland of the studbook, that provided the majority of the candidates. According to Robbert Ehrens: “As a studbook with a global outlook, we are proud to have strong representation across the world with more and more top riders choosing and valuing AES horses, as our breeding programme offers a strong focus on the sport and on supporting the breeding of reliable, sound and talented horses.
“We are very excited about the Global Champions Trophy as a way of showcasing and promoting breeding and our studbook to global audiences. This year, I chose mainly from English combinations who really embraced this new opportunity. As the competition becomes more established in years to come, I am certain that more and more combinations from all over the world will come forward...
