A very special stallion personality has been residing at the Marbach State Stud for a few weeks now: The Oldenburg stallion Floriscount has taken up residence in the stallion stable of the EU insemination station Offenhausen.
His breeder and owner, Clemens Graf Merveldt (Gut Füchtel, Vechta), personally delivered the vital stallion to Marbach and is delighted by the respect and admiration shown to him by the stud farm staff there: “We are very pleased that our Füchtels Floriscount OLD will be available to breeders throughout the EU, via Marbach and in cooperation with Celle, after his great success in Denmark and the Netherlands over the past two years,” says Graf Merveldt. “He is still very healthy and fit, and even at 21 years old he is still ridden lightly every day. He passes on his health and vitality to his offspring.” The news that Floriscount will be standing at stud in the region in the 2026 season has spread like wildfire among breeders.
At the age of nine, Floriscount was second in the final of the Nuremberg Burgpokal, having won the German National Championship for dressage horses. A textbook career in Grand Prix dressage followed, ridden by Oliver Oellrich and Patricia Seddig...
