The Westfalian Studbook has kicked off its 2026 auction year. The 48 riding horses sold recently were worth an average of €19,396 to their new owners. The top price was achieved by lot number 3, Dixiland Delight, who sold for €80,000.

Among the jumping-oriented auction candidates, United Georgia, a daughter of United Touch S, was the most popular at €43,500.
Kicking off the New Year
The Westfalian Winter Auction offered a wide range of horses with a focus on dressage and showjumping, and for which the Westfalian sales team had put together a lot in which professionals, ambitious competition riders, and leisure riders alike could find a suitable horse.
Right at the start of the auction, lot number three became the top priced horse. Dixiland Delight (bred by Dr Rolf-Peter Schulze, Tiddische; exhibited by Nina Neuer, Dressage Horse, Vechta) is a son of Dynamic Dream. His dam Sandro Lady (Sandro Hit) has already given birth to two horses that are successful in dressage competitions up to advanced level. She is also the dam of the licensed stallions Floyd TN (Fürstenball) and Florenz (Florencio I).
The now four-year-old Dixiland Delight has also already proven his talent in competitions, having won two riding horse competitions with top marks. These are ideal conditions for him to now grow into dressage with his new owner. Twelve clients competed with 78 bids to buy this young talent, and at the top price of €80,000 euros, he will continue his career with a new customer in the USA.
Head number one was also very popular among the customers at the Westfalian Studbook. Bennedictus (bred by Aloys and Christian Hinxlage, Garrel; exhibited by Christian Hinxlage, Garrel) is a son of the popular sire Bonds. His dam Urania (Stedinger) is none other than the direct dam of the former vice world champion of young dressage horses Quel Filou (Quaterback), who is now successful at international Grand Prix level. Bennedictus has also already achieved his first successes in young horse dressage tests. The now five-year-old enjoyed great popularity with international customers right from the start. Customers from Belgium and Japan fought long and hard in the final BidUp for the bay, with the Japanese finally securing this young horse for the dressage arena at a hammer price of €51,000...
