The Marbach State Stud Farm is its 2026 breeding season with renewed energy. On Saturday, March 7, at 17:00 CET, the presentation of Marbach stallions will take place in the festively decorated riding hall before an audience of experts.

The program will be hosted by State Stud Director Dr. Astrid von Velsen-Zerweck in conversation with Arthur Kottas-Heldenberg, former head of training at the Spanish Riding School of Vienna, alongside showjumper and licensing commissioner Andy Witzemann, and moderator Hendrik Schulze Rückamp. Tickets for this breeding event of the year are available now online at www.diginights.com.

Multi-hour program

In a multi-hour program, the stud farm team will present new and established state stallions for the 2026 breeding season. Horse breeders will once again travel long distances with high expectations, particularly to inspect the new additions to the stallion roster of the Marbach State Stud, including the athletic young Westfalian stallion Tottenham (Total McLaren [Oldbg] - La Castania [Westf] x Lord Loxley[Rhein], bred by Karl-August Sculte-Varendorff), and the premium Holsteiner stallion Valino (Vigado x Chicago Z). Another sporty and elegant newcomer, sired by the former Marbach state stallion Zenetti (Zackman M [DWB] - Almera [Bayern] x Spielberg TN [Westf]), joins the ranks of the state stallions: the already performance-tested Zensus, out of a Helium/T dam.
The Marbach State Stud is renowned for its refined horses, not only because of its Royal Württemberg Arabian breeding program and eventing horses. Trakehner horses play a special role as improvers of warmblood breeding in Baden-Württemberg. With the Trakehner stallions TSF Polartanz/T (2011: Konvoi/T -Polarfreud II x HPH Heraldik xx, bred by Ulrike Malter), and Haffruf/T (Zauberdeyk/T - Haselnuxx x EH Kentucky/T), breeders have two further top class improvers at their disposal.
Since 2025, the Marbach State Stud stallion Berlioz/T by (Zauberdeyk/T - Berlinale x Heuberger/T, bred by Monika Mittermayer), also a son of the highly successful Zauberdeyk/T – ridden by Olympic champion Michael Jung’s chief rider Sven Lux, has also been available. In their very first competition season, the pair made it to the final for five-year-old eventing horses at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf...
