Sensational hammer price of €105,000 for Va Bene son

A total of 25 colts were for sale on the evening of the Online Auction of the Westfalian Studbook, when Vitavito Gold caused a sensation, changing hands for the top price of €105,000 euros. Twenty of the young colts were at an average price of €14,088.

Organized by the Westfalian Studbook, the evening’s online auction showed that the interest in high-quality foals remains high. Head number one in this auction lot especially created a great deal of enthusiasm with Vitavito Gold cracking the €10,000 mark just 30 minutes after bidding started on the Thursday morning. The excitement continued to build throughout the weekend. At the final bidup the son of Va Bene x Sir Donnerhall (breeder and exhibitor: Philipp Welsing, Borken) had reached €70,000.
A total of 21 bidders competed for the young stallion with strong movements, whose dam was successful in advanced level dressage competitions. The virtual hammer fell for this young star with the 71st bid, and he will now grow up at the place of new customers from Hesse for the sensational hammer price of €105,000.
Head number two Popcorn by Pjethro x San Amour (breeder and exhibitor: Gestüt Schultenhof, Norden-Norddeich) was also very popular with the international clientele. The Kjento son Pjethro was, in fact, celebrating his successful sire debut at this auction. The handsome black colt with strong movements sparked a bidding duel between customers from Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands, with 10 bidders battling it out with 36 bids. In the end, the customers from Spain held their breath the longest, and bought the young hopeful for €26,500...
