Oldenburg honours Hickstead White and champion stallion

The champion stallion by Von und Zu became the price highlight of the subsequent auction, selling for €720,000

A stallion by Von und Zu out of Delailah by Dancier (St. Moritz x Rotspon), bred by Monika Rösemeier-Harms, and exhibited by Ursula Berger, Munich,was crowned the brilliant Oldenburg Champion Stallion of the Verband der Züchter des Oldenburger Pferdes (OL).

Sire Von und Zu passed his stallion performance test in 2021 with a score of 9.17 and presents his premiere licensing crop with the reigning champion stallion.
According to Oldenburg’s breeding director Bernhard Thoben, he said the champion stallion was “still a somewhat youthful stallion, but very uphill in construction and with a very natural movement. On the lunge he presented himself in a beautiful, incredibly relaxed and supple manner. When free-running, he showed great elasticity right from the start and was generous in his movements.”
A noble stallion by Escolar out of Eve (Fürst Heinrich x Figaro x Harlekin), bred by Maria-Antonia Burczyk, exhibited by Maurice Tebbel, became the reserve champion. Dam Eve already produced the licensed Rosenstolz (Rooney), Intermediaire I successful under the saddle of Pia Laus-Schneider. From the dam line come the Grand Prix successful Remy Martin S (Rubinstein), with Katja Willers ,and Elisienne (Donatelli) ridden by American Nicki Grandia.
Bronze was awarded to a son of Dynamic Dream out of Barbados (Bordeaux x Fürst Piccolo x Wolkenstein II), bred by Arndt Schwierking, and exhibited by BG Schwierking/Waering. Dam Barbados is the sister of the licensed Bundeschampionat finalist Bowmore OLD by Bordeaux ridden by Johanna Wadenspanner, and the Grand Prix successful Sephora S (Sir Donnerhall II) in the hands of Patrick van der Meer (NED).
Also awarded premiums were:
• A stallion by Danciero out of Longines (Londontime x Danone I x Sandro Hit), bred by Arndt Schwierking, exhibited by Helgstrand Dressage, Denmark. Sire Danciero is the reigning World Champion of seven-year-old dressage horses under the saddle of Danish Anna Kasprzak. Dam Longines is the sister of the licensed Londoner, by Londontime/Christian Tudela Ruiz (ESP).
• A stallion by Desperado out of Meggie May (El Capone x Rousseau x Jazz), bred and exhibited by Van Bockxgrave Horses B.V., the Netherlands. Sire Desperado was successful at international Grand Prix level under the saddle of Emmelie Scholtens (NED), and from the dam line comes the Grand Prix successful Inclusive (Everdale) ridden by Great Britain’s Charlotte Fry.
• A stallion by Viva Gold out of Fräulein Salome (Florencio I x Sandro Hit x Rubinstein I), bred by Dieter Erdmann, and exhibited by Gorodok Agro Llc, Ukraine. Sire Viva Gold is a Ib main premium winner, while dam Fräulein Salome produced the Prix St. Georges successful France Gall (Franziskus) ridden by Ulrike Hatzl...
