The collection of this new online auction the first KWPN Online Foal Auction 2020 is now available with photos and videos, and a total of 31 dressage and jumping foals will be looking for new owners.
The auction season for foals has started earlier than usual, and is mostly taking place online due to the coronavirus crisis, and KWPN is happy to help its breeders with the sale of their foal(s). Because of the great enthusiasm, an additional auction was added even before the first auction started. This makes a total of seven KWPN Online Foal auctions this year. During the photo and video day, all the foals were assessed by the KWPN inspector and a vet. Therefore, the foals are selected by health and correctness, the basis of a promising future.
Fifteen jumping foals and 16 dressage foals are part of this very first collection, with both young and proven stallions represented. for paternity. Among the dressage foals we see descendants of World Champion Glamourdale, KWPN Stallion Show Champion Le Formidable, World Championship participant and top supplier Just Wimphof, Grand Prix stallion Negro, performance test topper Kjento, upcoming Grand Prix stallion GLOCK's Toto Jr. but also of Taminiau, Kilian, Jheronimus, I’m Perfect STH, Easy Game, Furst Dior and Lord Europe. The jumping foals are not lacking in promising pedigrees. How about offspring of Olympic stallion Zirocco Blue, recently recognized and Grand Prix stallion Tobago Z, silver World Championship winner Grandorado TN, Grand Prix stallion Zapatero VDL and Cornet Obolensky sons Cohinoor VDL, Ibolensky and Classic Orange Z, KWPN performance test winner Komme Casall, Keur Stallion Baltic VDL and the 1m50 jumping stallions Heartbeat, Gaspahr and I’m Special de Muze and Il est Balou, Zinedream and Comthago.
Next to the paternal pedigrees, there is also plenty of exceptional female blood. The dark bay eye-catcher Pirouette Pien is a daughter of the Lord Leatherdale son Lord Europe. Her dam Elhouette (Delatio) is classified at ZZ-advanced level. This mare is a half-sister of Grand Prix horse Well Done, Grand Prix horse Vainquer (Negro) and various other good performance dressage horses. And what about Le Formidable daughter Picobella Dansa? Her dam is the four-year-old elite mare La Dansa B (Dream Boy) who scored 83 points at her IBOP test as a three-year-old. Various international competing dressage horses can be found in this damline. Princess Irene is a daughter of GLOCK's Toto Jr. and her dam Viva Irene competed at Z2 level herself. She is closely related to KWPN auction topper Madame Tip Top Irene and to the international Grand Prix horse Figaro (by Apache). Glamourdale son Playboy van de Mejontsma also has a Z2 classified Elite mare as mother. Another Glamourdale son; Pontiac van het Prinsenland has a Drosson daughter, De Mercedes, as dam. De Mercedes is a half-sister of the international Grand Prix horse Santino (s.Flemmingh) and various other sporthorses.
There is also no lack of sport in the maternal lines of jumping foals. For example, Pekka Balou who comes from Hemmingway daughter Wyona who jumped 1m35 herself in Finland. The dam of Pandor VGZ (Cohinoor VDL) is a half-sister to international 1m60 horse Ailonka (Tampa). Pursula (Zirocco Blue VDL), besides being the half-sister of KWPN approved stallion Malibu TN (Mr. Blue), is also a half-sister to 1m60 horse Bellinda (Namelus R). Her dam is Elite, Preferent, Prestatie, Prok mare Ursula (Hors la Loi II x Libero H). Her dam is the sull sister of undisputed showjumping horse supplier Numero Uno. The black filly by Zapatero VDL, Patera-Ryal K is the full sister of KWPN stallion Flying Dream, who is currently performing at 1m50 level. The 1m60 GP horse Benerife Ryal K (Tenerife VDL), 1m50 jumper Denychin Ryal K (Chin Chin), and several other international showjumpers are also out of this damline. Recently recognized stallion and GP horse Tobago Z is the sire of Pinball – a filly who has the well-developed Dallas VDL daughter and elite mare Khedira as her dam. As a four-year-old, she scored high notes for attitude, rideability and scope during her saddle test. Khedira is a half-sister to international 1m40 horse Ella M (Cornet Obolensky) and her mother also jumped 1m40 on international level.
The bids for this auction will open on Friday, July 3 and will close on Monday, July 6 at 8:00 p.m. Ralph van Venrooij, head of KWPN Breeding Affairs stated: "We have expanded the auction videos this year with the walk on a hard surface. This way we can provide potential buyers with more information. This way everyone can say something about the correctness of the foal."
