For the ninth time, the organizers of the German Jumping and Dressage Derby in Hamburg are making it possible for a hand-picked selection of 12 quality Holsteiner foals to be put on the auction block.

This year’s appointed date is Thursday, May 9 at around 16:30 [CET] when the 12 high-class foals will be publicly presented for the first time around noon.
Their pedigrees read like a Who’s Who of the international showjumping scene – naturally founded on the Holsteiner Verband’s very best damlines. The line-up includes for example as many as three offspring by brilliant team European champion, Zuccero HV (Zirocco Blue) ridden by Sweden’s Rolf-Göran Bengtsson.

Holger Wulschner’s 1m60 level jumpers Zuckersüß d’Argilla and Cefalo are very closely related to this auction filly.
Another very interesting lot is a stallion prospect by Ermitage Kalone out of Irassina’s Way (Colman x Concerto II x Lord) from the famous mare family 1916, none other than a half-sister to the licensed Holsteiner Verband stallions, United Way and Million’s Way. And a Corrado I colt carrying Diamant de Semilly, Vigo d’Arsouilles and Quick Star one after the other on the dam’s side is another gem in this year’s collection...
