Holstein opens its treasure chest of frozen semen

625

In Holstein, the studbook’s genetic treasure trove is being opened and silverware from the land between the seas is coming to light in the form of frozen semen from some of the most important stallions of all time. The first Holsteiner TG auction in an online format will take place from May 29 to June 3, 2024. A total of 23 straws – almost all of them approved for ICSI use – will go under the virtual hammer, and the sight of the stallions will make many a connoisseur’s heart beat faster: Caretino, Carthago, Cassini I, Corrado I, Cor de la Bryère, Contender, Big Star, For Pleasure, Baloubet du Rouet, Quidam de Revel... and more.

This premiere auction features frozen semen from top sires, most of whom once made a name for themselves with significant achievements of their own and whose offspring continue to cause a sensation at international tournaments and licensing sites. Bidding for the online auction begins on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 12:00 (CET). The final bid-up will then start on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 18:00 (CET). All information can be found at www.holsteiner.auction.
