One week after showjumping in Fontainebleau, Pompadour hosted the finals of the eventing Cycles Classiques from September 9-12. As in recent years, it was Upsilon's production that was the most prominent and mares that dominated, winning the three championship titles.

A total of 135 young horses aged four, five, and six took part in the finals of the Cycle Classique eventing competition in Pompadour. Amongst the Anglo-Arab sire Upsilon (Canturo - O'Vive x Fusain du Defey) had by far the highest number of starters with 20 offspring.

Far behind Upsilon came four stallions with four offspring apiece in Pompadour: Contendro (Contender x Reichsgraf), Diamant de Semilly (Le Tot de Semilly x Elf III), Eldorado de Hus (Diarado x Balou du Rouet), and L'Arc de Triomphe (Landor S x Pilot)...
