The recent Holsteiner Foal Auction took place during the German Derby and was classified as an ‘Outstanding Day’ when two lots claimed a double top price of €22,000
The Holsteiner Verband's foal auction, held in conjunction with the Al Shira’aa German Show Jumping and Dressage Derby in Hamburg-Klein Flottbek, once again attracted considerable interest from breeders, riders, and investors. Numerous highly promising young prospects changed hands at the prestigious Derby grounds.
Una Rosa (Zuccero x Emerald van het Ruytershof), bred by Hartwig Schoof (Hedwigenkoog), and Comme il Star TR (Comme il faut x Quick Star), bred by Tom Rose (Warburg), achieved the highest prices, each selling for €22,000. Both young talents impress with their athletic genetics. While Una Rosa traces back to the famous Chin Chin daughter Usha van’t Roosakker, Comme il Star TR’s fourth dam, Daytona de Muze (Cento), is particularly noteworthy.
Mylord Walnut KNT (Mylord Carthago x Parfait van het Schaeck), bred by Wojciech Kasperski (POL-Nowy Tomyl), also attracted considerable interest – a scion of the renowned Querly Chin dynasty. This colt prospect was sold for €21,000 to U.P. Sporthorses from Schleswig-Holstein, who had already secured Una Rosa. The average price of the foals is around €14,700, with a sales rate of 92%...
