The foal inspection season is drawing to a close, and this summer one Holsteiner Verband stallion in particular has attracted attention with his impressive sons and daughters at registration sites: Dinken (Diarado - Inken I x Cassini I)

No fewer than 91% of his offspring have been awarded a Holsteiner Verband foal premium, and a Dinken filly also won the R+V Holsteiner State Foal Championship.
Dinken was born in 2010 at the home of Theo Molenaers in Kinrooi, Belgium, and is now part of the Holsteiner Verband Elmshorn stallion stable. His is by Diarado and out of one of the most successful mare families ever. His dam, Inken by Cassini I, was a champion mare of the North Frisia breeding district and successful herself at international level with Peter Wylde (USA). Inken has greatly influenced her son in terms of type and make and shape, as well as his boundless willingness to perform.
Other than Dinken, Inken has produced several successful international jumping horses, such as Quinken (Max De Mol/NED), Quinka (Hikari Yoshizawa/JPN), Incaro LS (Frank Schuttert/NED), Dinka (Alicia Bocken/NED), and Cassinka (Hikari Yoshizawa/JPN). Dinken’s half-sister, Ninken (Littorio), is the dam of Clicksem, the licensed stallion successfully shown to 1m55 level (Hikari Yoshizawa/JPN). This reliable genetic inheritance is rooted in the Holsteiner mare family 2294.
Dinken himself was very successful during his sport horse career. As a five- and six-year-old he qualified for the National Championship with Jonas Panje in the saddle. He crowned his competition career by winning the 2016 State Championship. Unfor-tunately, a major tendon injury ended his promising jumping career soon after...
