Conte Bellini (Cornet Obolensky - Ramira x Ramiro Z)

RUSSIA (by Elena Zobova) According to Marina Fedorovskaya, founder of the Westfalen-Swit stud farm and owner of the 15-year-old stallion, Conte Bellini (Cornet Obolensky - Ramira x Ramiro Z), has moved to Rudolphe Bonnet’s Haras du Bois Margot at Tordouet in France.

“Our dear friend Conte Bellini brought us a lot of pleasure, participating in the most prestigious com- petitions all around the world. You were always the main member of our team and the primary breeding stallion of our stud farm. We were happy to see you jumping easily with such scope and quick reflexes. Thank you for your good brain, nice character and great attitude to work. We wish you a lot of happy days in France and we are sure your progeny will follow in your footsteps and fly over the fences, just like you did. Hopefully, your foals will also join the front lines of the world’s best showjumpers.”

Born in 2003 at Marlies Holtgräve stable in Nottuln, Germany, this bay Westfalian stallion was an eye-catcher from the beginning. He came from the very first crop of Cornet Obolensky foals, while his dam Ramira combined Ramiro Z and the Hannoverian ‘classic’ Ferdinand in her pedigree. Conte Bellini finished his 30-day stallion test with a 9.38 for jumping ability, and in 2008 became the vice-champion of the Bundeschampionat with 8.9 points under the saddle of Philipp Weishaupt...
