Canadian Warmblood Stallion Service Auction 2025

The annual Stallion Service Auction is a ajor event on the Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association calendar. Held late winter each year, it features approximately 30 stallion services donated as a fundraiser and kick-off to the CWHBA Foal Futurities.

Since its inception, the Foal Futurities have been an integral part of the program. The year following each auction, stallion owners and successful bidders get a free entry into a chapter futurity, where they will compete for approximately 50% of the funds raised through the auction. Offspring from nominated stallions may also buy in to the class, adding additional money to the pot. In some chapters there can be significant prizes up to or more than CAD$1,000 for the winning foal. Placings to fifth each receive a payout.

In recent years some stallions have stood out with consistent results. His Querido (His Highness x Quatro B) has dominated the Ontario Futurity with seven winners in the last 10 years and a winner in Saskatchewan in 2017.
