The dates and locations of the 2019 BWP stallion approval have now been announced. The second phase takes place January 17-19, in Azelhof in Liege. The BWP Top Stallion Auction is scheduled that same weekend, on Saturday, Januar,19. Only three-year-old candidates are expected at the second phase.
The Third Phase will take place March 14-16. At the request of the stallion keepers, BWP has been looking for accomodation providing fixed (permanent) boxes. The ‘Zilveren Spoor’ in Moorsele made an interesting offer, and consequently the BWP Board decided to organize the third phase in the Zilveren Spoor.

• During the second phase, only the three-year-old candidates will be judged. The older stallions will exclusively be presented during the third phase. The four-year-old jumping-bred stallions are expected to participate in at least two laps of the 2019 stallion competition.
• BWP Top Stallion Auction: will be open to the candidate auction stallions who go through to the third day of the stallion approval. The candidate auction stallions who do not succeed may be auctioned via an internet auction. In that way, every stallion gets the chance to be auctioned.
• Obligatory inspection of the arena on Wednesday: Where, in earlier times, the stallion keepers were free to choose, they now are obliged to have their jumping-bred stallions jump twice over a line of lower fences. For the dressage-bred stallions, there will also be a short moment for inspection of the arena in hand or in free movement.
