The licensed Hanoverian Bellario (Belissimo NRW - SPS Wynona x Wolkenstein II), an impressively bred German stallion who has been standing in Australia for the past few years, recently arrived at his new base, SkyHi Horses, in New Zealand. He will serve a limited number of mares in his first season here.
The handsome dark bay was bred by Stefan Aust of Armstorf, as was his dam, the ‘staatsprämie’ Wynona (Wolkenstein II x Pik Koenig). His Bundeschampion father, Belissimo, is of course also the sire of Isabell Werth’s WEG dressage superstar Bella Rose and the fabulous Callaho’s Benicio.

Bellario arrived in Australia in 2008, imported by Kate Barton of Narbethong Equestrian Park. He had some excellent competition results there, including 2010’s five-year-old Australian young-horse dressage champion, the Western Australia novice and elementary champion 2010, and six-year-old champion young horse at Sydney CDI in 2011, where he was awarded a 10 for rideability by Anna-Sophia Fiebelkorn. He was also the Australian advanced freestyle champion of 2012, Stars of the Future national Prix St Georges winner, and has top quality progeny in both Germany and Australia...
