In 2020, Irish showjumping brothers Bertram and Harry Allen, together with Germany's Maxi Lill, launched the Aloga auction platform, which this year welcomed Sentower Park's CEO Laurens Maynaerts into their team. With an average age in the mid 20s, it's a dynamic young team that maintains; "We know what it takes to find the best showjumpers for the future."

That certainly held true for their most recent hybrid auction that closed yesterday after recording the highest prices so far this year. Presenting 19 lots, all with starting prices of €25,000, the overall total only fell short of €3,000,000 by a small margin.

Tipping the scales at €460,000, Lot 13, Coropeggio, a six-year-old approved Westfalian stallion by Grand Prix winner Cornet Obolensky x Arpeggio who has already posted clear rounds in CSI-YH classes. A German buyer will now enjoy the future with this new purchase.

The runner-up in the price stakes was the seven-year-old grey gelding Corazon Z (Centurio x Heartbreaker), a paternal grandson of Cassini II.

The average price paid for the 19 lots rounded out to just over €155,000.
