Ten-year-old Holsteiner Verband stallion Keaton I combines modern athleticism, exceptional jumping ability and highly interesting bloodlines in a remarkable way. Already as a young stallion this son of top sire, Kannan-Contendro had stood out for his athletic appearance and his enormous jumping quality.

By now, Keaton I is one of the most high-profile stallions in Schleswig-Holstein and increasingly recognized beyond the state’s borders. Not least because of his recent outstanding competition results under the saddle of Arne van Heel.
Embodying modern Holsteiner type, Keaton I not only boasts very good basic gaits, but proves a very impressive jumper in terms of carefulness, technique and ability. He provides breeders with a very interesting genetic option: top French performance blood bred to the proven Holsteiner mare family 4847.

Kannan and Contendro I

He is by globally successful top sire Kannan, whose offspring have been known for their impact on the international showjumping scene for years now. Horses such as the following who impressively confirm his exceptional heredity:
• Nino des Buissonnets (out of Hermine du Prelet [SF] x Narcos II [SF]; bred by Nicolas and Caroline Deroubaix)
• Quabri de L’Isle (out of Dinastie de l’Isle [SF] x Socrate de Chivre [SF]; bred by Etienne Poisson), or
• Molly Malone (out of Janini [KWPN] x Cavalier [KWPN]; bred by Keith and Shelly Doyle).
On the dam’s side, Keaton I carries valuable Holsteiner performance genes through Contendro I. Contendro I used to be one of most sought-after stallions in Germany for years, and his offspring includes numerous international success horses such as Codex One and Conthendrix. His pedigree comprises iconic names in the history of the Holsteiner breed such as Ramiro and Landgraf I, as well as the Thoroughbred stallions Der Löewe xx [1944] and Royal Wash xx [1968]. The proven mare family 4847 has produced many international sport horses and top stallions, including Quel Homme de Hus, Lancer I-III, and Cachas.
