via videoconference. This democratic gathering primarily served to formalize the results of the board of directors’ elections (see below), who then elected their president.

At 7:30 p.m., Julien Blot was henceforth appointed to lead the national breed association. The Rhône-Alpes native, founder of the Numénor stud farm and a specialist in bovine genetics, succeeds Pascal Cadiou. In office since 2014, the Charente-Maritime native, who was seeking a fourth term, received 17 votes compared to 29 for the new president.
The general meeting began with the presentation of the association’s morale, activity, and financial reports, as well as the projected budget and plans for 2026. This provided an opportunity to highlight the significant reduction in subsidies. A summary table highlighted that the ministerial allocation had fallen from €114,290 in 2024 to €80,000 in the 2026 provisional budget, while the Éperon Fund’s allocation had decreased by nearly €100,000 in two years...
