Ninety stallions will be presented at the Danish Warmblood licensing in Herning from March 4-8, when nearly 1,000 horses will arrive to compete over five days of international sport, while attendees will be able to enjoy a spectacular ‘Fairy Tale’ Gala Show.

Breeding and sport are closely connected, and this is especially evident at the Danish Warmblood Stallion Show in Herning in week 10 of 2026. Alongside the federation’s stallion licensing, the event features international dressage and showjumping competitions, the Young Horse Championships, two major gala shows, and a trade fair with nearly 300 stands.

Stallions may also be entered in an optional riding test. If they pass this test on Wednesday evening and are approved on Sunday, they will be granted a one-year breeding license.
Four-year-old and older stallions presented for licensing will be shown under saddle, either in gaits or in showjumping. For those interested in breeding, there are also presentation classes for older, already approved stallions in both jumping and dressage....
