Constable (Contendro I x Diarado), the five year old Hannoverian stallion bred by Poland’s Ilona Turowska, has achieved his most notable success thus far with his extraordinary performance in October 2023 during the Studbooks Global Champions Trophy in Valkenswaard.
Constable was nominated to represent the Hanoverian Association at the inaugural WBFSH Studbooks Jumping Global Champions Trophy. His three spectacular clear rounds, with Jarosław Skrzyczynski in the saddle, helped ensure the team win in the five-year-old category. Individually he was also classified in first place. This outstanding performance secured him a stallion approval for Hanoverian breeding and he was later awarded the FRH suffix. He was subsequently granted approved status by AES, with a PZHK licence pending.
This achievement wasn’t his first international win, as Skrzyczynski and Constable were victorious in the CSI-YH five-year-old finals in Zielona Gora in April 2023 and CSI-YH Baborowko in August 2023. To date, they’ve recorded an impressive resumé of wins and podium placings at international, national, and regional level.
As a very young horse, Constable impressed the judges and the audience at the Anglo European Studbook stallion licensing in 2021, when he was invited to the champion’s circle as the second-highest-scoring stallion at the event. He later received a lot of attention and, due to demand, was made available to breeders that year. As soon as he fulfilled his breeding obligations, he arrived at the stable of Poland's best showjumper, Jarosław Skrzyczynski, who started Constable under saddle, paving the way to success.
Constable is the first foal of Diascada, a mare that descends from a dam line successful in sport and breeding. Diascada competed internationally at the 1m25 with her new owner, who later decided to take advantage of her qualities as a broodmare. Diascada is the daughter of Gundi, who competed inter-nationally at the 1m45 and half-sister to Lordanz, a 1m45 Longines ranking class jumper, who also collected num-erous wins and placings...
