At the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf, seven of the nine possible medals in the dressage arena went to Hanoverians, including Happy Days Di Fonteaubeti and Blue, with no fewer than five celebrated as champions in the riding horse classes.
There was also reason to celebrate in eventing. Booze Buddy won gold in the class of five-year-old eventing horses. In addition, Hannoveraner won bronze in both the five- and six-year-old classes. With a total of 15 medals, Hannover impressively leads the statistics of the Bundeschampionat ahead of Oldenburg and Holstein.
However, it was the dressage arena in Warendorf that was dominated by Hannover, with the young talents securing all the podium places in the five- and six-year-old classes. Horses born in 2018 were led by the Valverde x Wup daughter Happy Days Di Fonteabeti (b: Societa Agricola Allevemanto Fonte Abeti, Italy) with Maxi Kira von Platen. The expressive bay had already finished eighth at the WBFSH World Breeding Championships for Young Horses in dressage at the beginning of August.
The exciting fight for second place was won by Filippa AW by Falihandro x Roadster (breeder: Andreas Weissmann, Rheurdt) and Linda Weiß. Third place went to the Top Gear x Prestige Pilot daughter Titania K (b: Willem Klausing GbR, Diepholz) and Leonie Richter.
The six-year-old was stacked very close together, with the highest score being achieved by the Buckingham x Locksley II daughter Blue (b: Andrea Bentes, Wittingen), who was presented masterfully by Tessa Frank. Vice Bundeschampion was the St. Schufro x Fürstenball daughter St. Felice (b: Patrick Seefeld, Neustadt) with Marcus Hermes. This Hannoveraner premium aspirant was the price topper during the 137th Elite Auction in Verden in 2020.
Together with two other six-year-olds with the same score, the Belantis x Sir Donnerhall son Boulevard (b: Sven Graefe, Heiligengrabe) won bronze with Jacob Schenk in the saddle. The seventh of the nine possible medals went to the seven-year-old Funrise by Flannel x Bretton Woods (b: Home of Stallions, Velen), who had found a new owner at the Verden stallion sales.
