Grandorado TN, El Barone III Z, Emerald van’t Ruytershof, Ermitage Kalone, and Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, the main suppliers during the second phase of the BWP stallion selection exclusively for showjumping and dressage horses born in 2020.

In the option showjumping, 26 BWP-born and 14 non-BWP-born stallions were selected for the third phase, supplemented by five dressage stallions. Grandorado TN scored best as sire in the showjumping option: three selected sons out of the total of three presented. And, as far as breeders are concerned, studfarm ‘van’t Zorgvliet’ spoke volumes.
As previously, mentioned before, Grandorado 100% with his offspring thanks to his sons – Ustino vd Bisschop (breeder: stable Den Bisschop), Urbanus van d’Abelendreef (breeders: Wilfried and Koen Cerpentier), and Ubeau van de Ceulshaegen (breeder: Luc Van Assche) – all being selected for the third phase.
The following stallions each have two selected sons: El Barone III Z, Emerald van’t Ruytershof, Ermitage Kalone, and Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve. Overall, the 40 selected showjumping stallions descend from 34 different sires, which is important in the context of bloodline diversity.

Three of the 40 stallions go back through their dam line to Qerly Chin, namely Don Julio de Regor T40 Z (Diamant de Semilly - Centa de Muze x Cento, breeder: Team 40), Up van’t Paradijs (O’ Neill van’t Eigenlo - QT van’t Paradijs x Hunters Scendro, breeder: Stable ’t Paradijs), and Uvex de Muze (Special Cera du Maillet Z - Chantilly de Muze x Bamako de Muze, breeder: Joris De Brabander). In addition, there are 23 stallions that belong to a different breeding family which provides a great deal of heterogeneity in the dam lines of the selected stallions.
Although there are certain breeders in the list of the selected stallions who appear several times in combination with co-breeders, there is only one exclusive name who scored two out of two: Clarysse van Coppenolle, the widow of André Braeckevelt. Together with her son Jerry, Clarysse runs studfarm van ’t Zorgvliet. She is known as the breeder of Umber van ’t Zorgvliet and Uranus van ’t Zorgvliet, both selected for the third phase...
