Trakehner Grafenstolz leads WBFSH eventing sires ranking

The Trakehner stallion Grafenstolz has reached a pinnacle of success as an eventing sire, heading the 2020 WBFSH eventing ranking. The ranking list includes sires from over 70 sport horse breeding associations around the world, so it’s with great pride that the small Trakehner Association, based in the Holstein town of Neumünster, managed to provide the top stallion for the equestrian discipline often referred to as the ‘crown of riding’.

Every year in November, the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH), compiles the rankings of the world's most successful sires in the Olympic disciplines of dressage, jumping and eventing based on an evaluation of international competition data.
Bred by Lieselotte Heinen of Gestüt Heinen-Bönninghardt, Trakehner elite stallion Grafenstolz (Polarion TSF - Gipsy Lady x Camelot), has now taken over at the top of the eventing list, adding yet another highlight to his collection of titles from sport and breeding. “The Trakehner stallion Grafenstolz is definitely a very special stallion. His combination of personal sporting performance and international heredity is likely to be unparalleled,”said the deputy breeding director of the Trakehner Association, Neel-Heinrich Schoof, on this outstanding success. “It is the sixth year that he has appeared among the world’s best sires. What more could plausibly prove the sustainability of his success?”
Grafenstolz, a son of the stallion Polarion TSF, who has often been successful in advanced level dressage, was the premium stallion of his licensing in 2000 in Neumünster, where he was exhibited by his stable, the Heinen-Issum Stud, together with Verena Sont-heimer.
