Zangersheide Netherlands foal champions

Fillies champion Chanegie LN Z (Chacco-Blue)

Over 40 foals were presented at the Hippisch Centrum de Ankerhal in Saasveld, which hosted the Zangersheide Netherlands foal championship. Many were carrying the blood of Zangersheide's own stallions and, like in Germany, Heinz Meyer was on jury duty assisted by Tom Lemmens as they assessed for correctness, movement, type, overall impression and dam line.

Among the fillies, the strongest impression came from Chanegie LN Z (Chacco-Blue - Carnegie x Cardento VDL), bred by Louise Nyberg of LN Horses.

Zangersheide stallions dominated among the colts, with victory going to All In Z (Aganix du Seigneur Z x Caretino), bred by A. Van Diepen.

A full report from the Zangersheide Netherlands foal championship will appear in the August 2024 issue of World Breeding News.

Filly foals

First up were the fillies. The foal that managed to make the strongest impression on our Jury was Chanegie LN Z,with the letters LN referring to breeder Louise Nyberg of LN Horses. Chanegie LN Z is a Chacco Blue daughter and is directly out of the Cardento VDL mare Carnegie, who herself jumped 1.45m with American rider Shawn Casady.

The 2nd place in the series for fillies was for foal Daisy Lou Lucardie Z, who was bred by Emily Sanders. Daisy Lou Lucardie Z is a Darry Lou daughter in combination with Diarado and is out of a half sister of Grand Prix horses Very Nice (Casantos) and Cocu (Wender R).

Foal Baloubina SES Z secured the 3rd place in this series. Baloubina SES Z was bred by Sidney Eras and M. Eras Van Wien and is a Balou du Reventon daughter out of the Quidam de Revel mare Q Royal Palm Z. She jumped at 1.50m level with Eiken Sato in the saddle.

Colt foals

After the series for filly foals it was up to the colt foals to show themselves at their best. In this series the Zangersheide stallions quite clearly left their mark. Victory was for foal All In Z, a son of the combination Aganix du Seigneur Z and Caretino and who was bred by A. Van Diepen. Dam Butterfly has herself been active in the international showjumping sport with Dutch rider Doron Kuipers and she is the full sister of the Grand Prix horses Caldato and Condordija.

Foal Charley PL Z succeeded in landing the 2nd prize in this series for colt foals. Charley PL Z was bred by N.S. Post and is a son of HH Conrad Z combined with the Carambole blood. Granddam Feliciapina is a half sister of the horses Calafornia (Ultimo) and I Will Be Famous (Bubalu VDL), who are both competing at 1.50m level.

The 3rd place went to foal Hardstyle RV Z, a Heartbreaker and Nabab de Reve son from the Renken breeding stud and who stems from a true sport pedigree. Hardstyle RV Z is a grandson of the mare Ilusionata van ’t Meulenhof Z (Lord Z), who used to jump at the highest level under the saddle of Belgian rider Niels Bruynseels.
