The results are in, and the names of the new Zangersheide-approved stallions are known! More than 100 stallions were presented on our domain in Lanaken at the end of February to our professional selection committee, comprising Gilles Botton as a member over the weekend alongside Heinz Meyer and Luc Tilleman.
After the 11-year-old chestnut Bingo Ste Hermelle (Number One d'Iso Un Prince x Diamant de Semilly; bred by Elevage Ste Hermelle), who was already approved on the first day based on his own sporting performances, 27 other stallions were added to this list.
Twenty-one stallions after free jumping
Following a preliminary selection after free jumping on day one, 42 young, three- and four-year-old stallions received the green light to introduce themselves once again on the second day for a decisive presentation. A total of 21 were viewed as having added value for breeding in the future and were, therefore, approved for Studbook Zangersheide.
The stallions Chacco Blue, Chacfly PS and Emerald van’t Ruytershof were each represented by two approved stallions:

There were also a few offspring of our own Zangersheide stallions who convinced the jury and were added to the approved list:
