The Westfalian online auction experienced price fireworks when the first lot, a Raven x Belstaff son, from the damline of Bon Vivaldi, changed hands for €90,500 in Münster. Bred and exhibited by Christoph Stümpel, Rheine) the colt is not only a Rising Star by name as only a few minutes after the bidding started the youngster was generating enthusiastic interest. In fact, even before BidUp began, the dark bay had cracked the €50,000 mark, and after nearly 100 bids the hammer fell for a sensational €90,500.

The most expensive filly of the evening, Taurina MB (Taurus x Dimaggio – bred and exhibited by Michael Bügener, Gronau) is an extremely attractive daughter of the still young Taurus, with swinging movements and a certain pzazz! She sold for €16,000 and will remain in Germany.

The most popular offer with a showjumping pedigree was a filly by Emerald van het Ruytershof x Cornet Obolensky (bred and exhibited by Siegfried Scharf, Gestüt Schultenhof, Bochum). Eternal Flame descends from the direct dam line of Clinton, who celebrated outstanding successes for Belgium under the saddle of Dirk Demeersman. The bay filly will compete under the Swedish flag in the future after customers from Scandinavia invested €10,000.

According to auction manager Thomas Münch; "At the end of May we have now successfully sold almost 100 foals via the Westfalian online auctions. This brings us a good deal closer to this year's goal of offering as many breeders as possible a platform to market their foals. We are pleased to be able to continue selecting and selling quality foals for our customers and are looking forward to the upcoming auctions with great anticipation."

The auctions will continue every two weeks with complete pedigree information, photos and videos for the next collection being available at onlineauction.westfalenpferde.de from June 7.
