On January 5, 2026, Wilhelm Rüscher-Konermann of Greven passed away at the age of 83. The passionate horseman and founder of the Rüscher-Konermann stallion station dedicated his life to horse breeding and realized his visions with great devotion on the farm he took over in 1969.
Until he handed the station over to his daughter Annette Rüscher-Konermann in 2022, he shaped it with foresight, expertise, and personal commitment.
Wilhelm Rüscher-Konermann joined the Westfalian Studbook as early as 1972. The first foals were registered in 1980, including the Ramiro daughter Rigolette, who became a cornerstone of his breeding program. She was the dam of the stallions Feuerglanz and Frühlingsadel (Frühlingsball), as well as Floriano (Foxiland) and Primeus’s As (Pavarotti van de Helle).
Wilhelm Rüscher-Konermann joined the Westfalian Studbook in 1972. In addition to his own stallions – such as Diamond Deluxe (Diamond Magic) and Baccardi’s Best (Baccardi), the Rüscher-Konermann stallion station produced a multitude of outstanding sires. These include Pavarotti van de Helle, Floresco NRW, Baccardi, and Lissaro van de Helle, all of whom significantly shaped the station’s breeding profile...
