Top price for jumping aspirants: €20,000 for son of Diathago

Twenty-one unridden youngsters came under the Westfalian Studbook hammer recently, with a top price of €20,000 paid for a son of Diathago x Cayetano L. Sixteen of the horses on offer changed hands during the online auction for an average price of €12,141.

The young horses presented during this Westfalian online auction aroused international interest and saw ann exciting end to the evening bidding. In some cases, the hammer prices of the sold youngsters doubled or even tripled during the final bid-up.
All of the jumping youngsters sold achieved prices of over €10,000, with the most expensive being Dos Mas (Diathago x Cayetano L), bred by Petra Leusmann from Grevan, exhibited by Kim Adina Kramer. Dos Mas is a half-brother to the victorious advanced level Caju. After an exciting bidding duel between Germany and Switzerland, the bay stallion was finally knocked down to a buyer from Baden-Württemberg.
The second most expensive jumping youngster at €16,000 has the significant name Count On Me. The son of Comme Prévu x A conto As (bred by Konrad Böth, Weimar; exhibited by Mika Fallenberg, Enningerloh) is a half-brother to Diacontina, who is a highly successful CSI showjumping competitor under the saddle of Christian Kukuk.
