Bred by Dr. Sigurd Kleon from Austria, the exceptionally well bred colt Heartbeat (2022/OS Heartbreaker - Inka van’t Roosakker x Calvaro Z) was the top-priced foal at the recent Oldenburg foals and broodmares auction, selling for €25,250.

The Heartbreaker son demonstrates just how internationally prominent Oldenburg breeding has become. Heartbeat’s dam, Inka van’t Roosakker is sister to the 1m60 successful Electra van’t Roosakker with Jannika Sprunger (SUI) and Jos Lansink (BEL). This future competition prospect will likely cause a sensation for his new owners, showjumping enthusiasts from North Rhine Westfalia.
Toffifee (Topas FBW - Fire And Dance x De Niro) was bred by Dieter Scherwitzki, Holdorf, Lower Saxony and exhibited by Heinz Wieber, Friesenheim, Baden-Württemberg, and became the top-priced broodmare at €25,000. The charming black mare is in foal to young stallion Escaneno (2019/Hann Escamillo - Vaiana x Veneno 6), who will produce his first crop next year.
Tofifee’s dam is the sister of Duchesa Lopez OLD (De Niro - Free Life x Lord Liberty) successfully competing as Fire and Ice, who was champion mare of the Oldenburg Elite Mare Show and in Prix St. Georges with Regine Ehrich. In the future, this black mare will bring joy to a dressage breeding stable in Schleswig-Holstein.
Eight of the 32 auction candidates were bought by Oldenburg friends from abroad and in future will be making their homes in the USA (three), as well as one apiece travelling to Denmark, Great Britain, Italy, Poland, and Ukraine.. To read the complete article you need to be a subscriber
