The seventeenth consecutive edition of the SWB Elite Foal Auction showed there is great interest in Swedish-bred foals. The auction was again organized as a hybrid event, attracting eager online as well as on-site bidders.

A total of 19 dressage foals and 24 jumping foals were sold, fetching an average price of €16,737 per dressage foal and €14,354 per jumping foal. The top-selling foal overall was the dressage foal King Olav, fetching an impressive €50,000.
“Given the economic climate and compared to foal auctions elsewhere in Europe, the Elite Foal Auction went incredibly well. The foals were selected during the summer by a selection committee consisting of Johan Ifverson, Andreas Jönsson, and Helena Torstensson. “We were very pleased with this year’s collection. Both the dressage and jumping foals were of high quality, with excellent international types. It is gratifying to see how breeders have embraced the auction concept and are networking with customers year after year,” said Andreas Jönsson...
