Successful first SF championship auction

The very first auction of the Selle Français championship season was held last Saturday during the foals championship at the Normandie Horse Show.

A total of 50 breeders responded to the auction challenge which was launched to them by the Selle Français Stud-Book.
With 15 foals sold, the sales of the 2020 Selle Français Championships was a good start, validated by more than 300 spectators who attended the physical sale at the Pôle Hippique de Saint-Lô, and no fewer than 200 Internet users registered and connected to the 'live' sale from various countries such as Portugal or Switzerland, and a filly being purchased by a customer from Lithuania.

This sale was organized at the end of the Championship, allowing breeders to sell their foals directly and also promoting the farms,  thanks to good preparation by all our teams and successful foal development by the breeders upstream, then by our young breeders' group through presentations during the championship and again during the sale.

SF was delighted to have been able to offer foals in the French championship region on a circuit that touches breeders from all walks of life. The studbook is thereby strengthening its promotional role for farms, regardless of size, offering the means of marketing production.

Statistically, an average price of €5,500 was achieved for the 15 foals sold, with the top price of €10,000 being paid for Kylie Start of Bel Air, by All Star 5, out of Bel Air SF (Dalton van het Lindenhof), bred by Gerard Nicolas.
