The second Polish Championships for Małopolska and Anglo-Arabian Horses in Eventing and the Polish Cup for OO Horses in Eventing were held at the Walewice Stud Farm on July 4-5, 2026.
The choice of the competition location was not accidental. The Walewice National Stud Farm is the largest breeding center for half-bred Anglo-Arabian horses in Poland, operating continuously since the late 19th century, initially as a private stud and, since 1945, as a state stud farm. For many years, the horses bred here have achieved sporting success in the All-Around Eventing Competition and in showjumping at the highest level.
In recent years, the following have distinguished themselves in eventing: Huzar m (AA) (Jalienny xo - Huanita m x Toledo PSB xx); his sporting offspring Jard m out of Julita m by Divisor xx, owned by Małgorzata Garus; and Hatteria II out of Hatta II m, by Grey m (bred and owned by Tomasz Nowak). In showjumping, Huzar’s son, Diokles m (Haracz m - Dida m x First des Termes xo), owned by Andrzej Kubik.
The event was organized by the Polish Horse Breeders Association of Małopol-ska, and was held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Polish Horse Breeders Association, Sławomir Piotrowski.
As in the previous year, the championships were held in two categories:
• ‘Profi’ – for horses with existing racing experience, confirmed by qualifying results for the CNC100 classes or higher (this category is selective for breeders), and
• ‘Amator’ – for young and less experienced horses in the sport of promotional riding.
The competition for the titles was a handicap competition, allowing for the selection of medalists in each category, regardless of the difficulty level of the classes.
The gold medal in the ‘Profi’ category was won by the stallion El Moritz m (San Moritz xx - Eureka m x Plaster m), bred by Mariusz Ozdoba and owned by Grayna Niezgoda, who competes in this category.
The silver medal went to the black gelding Alegro m (Huzar m (AA) - Alborada m x Hutor m), bred and owned by Krzysztof Kulik, and handled by Ewa Kasinska. Third place went to the stallion Lascar m (Huzar m (AA) - Lotta m x Top Gun AA), bred and owned by Michał Wolski, ridden by Małgorzata Wolska...
