Announced by the Nijhof Family on social media today, the 32-year-old KWPN stallion Heartbreaker (Nimmerdor - Bacarole x Silvano) has died from age-related symptoms.

Heartbreaker has been a pillar of the breeding community and a top supplier for Team Nijhof since 1989. When they opened their stallion station in 1997 in Ghosteren, Heartbreaker was their first stallion, so obviously enjoys a special place in their hearts.

The family extended their thanks to Silvia Evers, who cared for this breeding ambassador over the last few years of his beautiful life, and acknowledged his impact on sport horse breeding globally.
