In just a few weeks, traditionally on the last Thursday in August, the 68th Foal Auction will take place at the Riedlingen Festival Grounds, just a few meters from the banks of the Danube.

Numerous careers have begun in Riedlingen, including the reigning Federal Champion of five-year-old showjumpers, Iron Dames Arezzo Man FBW, whom Thomas Casper discovered in Riedlingen in 2019. From the same year come the newly crowned State Champions Fred the Red/Christian Lanterdinger in the six-year-old dressage horse category and Great Gatsby/Alia Knack in the same jumping age group.

One year later, Viva Diamond's star rose in Riedlingen. The winning stallion of the 2023 DSP Stallion Days will be part of the Max-Theurer stable's German roster for the WBCYH in Verden. Riedlingen's older generations boast numerous successes at advanced level: Churchill, international 1m50 winner with David Will; FBW Denali Sun, victorious in advanced dressage classes and winner of the 2025 Golden Ribbon with Julia Kühn; Grand Prix-winning FBW Final Result/Marc Oliver Blessing and Saro Hi/Lisa Casper; and the CCI5*-winning eventing horse Fever Pitch, Storm Straker/GBR.

The 58-horse lot for 2025 is packed with outstanding highlights. The dressage lot is led by four offspring from the first crop of the reigning state champion Sané. The Birkhof stallion presented numerous high-class foals, including the outstanding winner of the Fronhofen show, bred from a Vitalis dam, which will be auctioned in Riedlingen. Sané's sire, So Perfect, is sending two stallion prospects with opulent movements to the auction ring. Secret's outstanding genetics are also evident, represented by the Secret sons Security and Sarai L. Escaneno is currently nominated for the WBCYH and is sending a powerfully gaited offspring to the banks of the Danube. His paternal half-brother, Esperanto, once again impressed this year with top-class foals, two of which were particularly high-quality and made it to Riedlingen. Evergreen Vitalis is sending two stallion prospects, both of whom are closely related to successful Grand Prix horses such as FBW De Vito/Lone Jörgensen and Total US/Edward Gal. Rising star Diamantenglanz and Grand Prix winner DSP Va Bene are also represented with two foals each. Fans of Thoroughbred blood will be delighted by the attractive offspring of Trakehner champion Kenneth, and Marbach advanced dressage winner Giuliani.

The showjumping lot also boasts many top offers, including two top-class representatives of Comme il faut, sire of individual Olympic champion Checker/Christian Kuckuk. Iron Dames Arezzo Man FBW is represented again this year with a son who was the champion foal in Wangen. A daughter of Arezzo VDL out of a Contagio mare, who is also successful at 1m45, completes this successful lineage. The highly sought-after top stallions Ermitage Kalone and Diamant van Klapscheut are sending two foals apiece. Diaron is sending a stallion prospect of exceptional quality to the auction ring, whose dam by Cornado I was already victorious at the Bundeschampionat. Special performance offers come from international 1m60 jumpers Diachacco, Highway TN, and Zinedream. The direct dam of the already successful 1m50 sire For Friendship VDL is represented with a highly interesting filly by Mindset ES, who is being much discussed in the Netherlands.
